I'm glad she, and the Iowas, still exist and are well preserved and maintained as museums.
scuttled by her own crew to avoid battle with the British fleet offshore, after the three-day "safe harbor" stay in a neutral port ; then she had to sail.
The number three turret seems oddly out of place.
There was also an airship named Graf Zeppelin.
Notice the emblem of the chrysanthemum displayed proudly on the bow.
She makes both an incomplete and a full, operational appearance in Izetta: The Last Witch
My grandad served on her, then he spent a lot of time as a POW in Japan....
It even has the surrender table! Details are so accurate.
A kiedy wrak ORP Wicher?
Ijn takao (atago)
Where I can buy this model?
Seems okay when we break into an ancient tomb though, lots of ancient graves robbed by us. They are in museums now.
What a creature, peak of German engineering & design
How about fixing this creepy stuff with 3 pilons on the bow? There were two of them if you will look on the photo
The third pair of flight deck supports was added late in Kaga's career and that's why almost all photos show only 2 pairs.
@@kapitanpi88 can you give me a link to the source or photo to prove it? I don’t know even one photo with 3 pairs. By the way, can I ask you to send me some close-ups of a couple places? And I have a couple more questions on a few places on your 3d, can you help?
Found on combined fleet: 1 May 1940: Arrives at Sasebo. Hereafter over the following months undergoes extensive refit and maintenance work. 15 October 1940: Captain Kubo is relieved by Captain (later Vice Admiral) Yamada Sadayoshi (42) (former CO of carrier SORYU) as Commanding Officer. 14 November 1940: Enters drydock at Sasebo. 15 November 1940: Joins the First Air Squadron (CarDiv 1), 2nd Fleet. 18 November 1940: Overhaul is completed. Undocked. Her flight deck is enlarged and reinforced. If not earlier in May, an additional pair of support pillars are placed forward in-between the two existing pairs. (Most likely related to a catapult system, see Data Page) Her hanger areas are enlarged to accommodate the new generation of aircraft. Her arrester gear is replaced by a Type 3 system and her bridge is modernized. Four additional Type 96 twin 25-mm guns are fitted on sponsons. Her airgroup consists of 12 Mitsubishi A5M4 fighters, 24 Aichi D1A2 bombers and 36 Yokosuka B4Y1 attack planes with another 18 aircraft carried in crates as spares.
@@kapitanpi88 Stefen, do you have plans to modify your 3d due to new data in videos from Nautilus expedition?

Now, if I could be allowed to put my 3D goggles on and be allowed to enter the ship and also experience a simulation of its last battle ..... I hope I am not asking for too much.
Bismarck was not referred to as she or her but was called he and him.
I got the book (and others from Stefan Draminski) : top!!! I recommend it to understand all the inside arrangement of the ship between many interesting things
WOW !!!
picked up 2 of these last fall with intention to model montana. found the veryfire montana a few days ago. now i got the 3 to build. on the mid 1985 mods plus the stacks will be left as all will be under BBN classification. also the o-2 level will have vls installed. thinking on how to add 2 hangers for uh-60s in the aft house area. have a lot of grinding too due to remove all the 20 / 40 mm gun shields.
Despite all those planes on the deck, there's really only one Kate?
Nice model. It looks weird not to include the crew, though, both for a sense of scale and to make the ship come alive.
I think this is the most beautiful heavy cruiser of WW2
😮😮😮😮😮😮 el acorazado que revolucionó la guerra naval y provocó la mayor carrera de construcción de acorazados y otros buques de guerra de la historia
HMS EVETER Oh java sea jakarta lndonesia flags Royal Dutch East indies Army
Glorious :') Imagine what could have been.
NICE!!!!!
WHAT SONG IS THIS?????
What song is this?
I love this wonderful ship,it was as elegant and powerful as the Gnesenau, the Bismarck and the Tirpitz.
A lot of discussion about Battleship and Cruiser designs, too many variants I guess. But with Carriers it’s only one... it works or not, and the Graf Zeppelin would with out a doubt. Sadly it would have serious operational troubles, but I wonder how those fighters and bombers would do in the Atlantic. The Japanese planes were superior to american and British up until 1942... the Bf109 was superior to anything the brits had at sea too until 1944. “What if” is not an argument, but just imagining. In a way we must be glad it was never finished in time... at least it would have prolonged the inevitable end of the war.
For a carrier, she surely armed to teth
The "imperial march" would have been better background music😂
Most amazing ship. i will soon main it on world of warships. RIP Yamato and her crew. i also just subbed so keep up the amazing work
Something missing on the stern? But beautiful paint job,and was personally the best looking ship during WW2.
Pretty ship, was a tragedy that she was lost with so many people
I just went to the Iowa yesterday (1-25-2023) and it’s worth every penny (only $25) as soon as I saw your book, Mr. Draminski, I had to buy it! Especially when I saw a Polish guy wrote it. Amazing details. I will recommend this to EVERBODY. Dziekuje!
incredible work, respect, simply fantastic to look at, please do more of it. 🫵👌👏👍🫵👌👏👍
Montage au top !!...Bravo !!
...battleships...the most useless ships at all time..........
The Nazi's terrible Carrier design and Naval Aircraft ?? Casemates 5'9" guns wasted weight and space ?? "From Aircraft Carrier WWll Fact Files". Waterline length:breadth ratio of 8.331 she needed very powerful machinery to reach her designed speed wasting more space !! Flight deck was lightly protected, only 20mm of armor over the Hanger spaces !! Indeed, the scale of protection was light throughout the ship, with only 60mm over the Magazines and 40mm over the Engines & Machinery !! Awful choice of Naval aircraft with Fieseler Fi 167/ Navalized Stuka & Bf-109 the ME with the worst narrow landing gear possible for Carrier landing, no range !! I could go one but it would of been just another Nazi failure !!! Sorry "Fanboys" just facts !!! Semper Fi
They built beautiful ships. With equally beautiful names. You can see how Japanese cars are world beaters.
i think there are more planes than normal...
Beautiful job except for the red hull. Never was red.
Godzilla made me search this
Didn’t they stack more AA guns than shown?
godzilla minus one
I looked this ship up for that very reason.
Beautiful model!! What are all those white things wrapped around the island? They look like rolled up mattresses to me. Are they?
What if Graf Zeppelin was finished and flew with Bismarck to battle along with Prinz Eugen and U-boats? Royal Navy would received a fatal blow.
Your books are incredible. I look forward to seeing more of your amazing work and research.
